On May 6th, the “Seeds of Discovery” program was put on by the Warm Springs Museum. This program is funded with NASA grant dollars, and every 3rd grade class in the 509-J School District attended the program. Stations included: tree identification, robotics, chemistry, Monarch butterflies, cultural foods, atlatl throwing, robotics, and 3-D printing. Staff from the Tribes’ Fisheries Department taught students about the salmon life cycle. Representatives from Oregon State Parks, South Wasco County Robotics Program, CTWS Cultural and Heritage, Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, OSU extension, World Forestry Station, and the US Forest Service were also present at the event.
